This superb, gemmy, very transparent crystal is a classic style found in the late 1960s and early 1970s, from the Virgem de Lapa Mine. To this day, these lavender-colored tourmalines remain unique and highly desired, and are very rare. This particular piece was in the Keith Proctor (1980s) and Irv Brown (in the early 1990s) collections. The tourmaline itself is 6 x 1.2 x 0.7 cm.
