An exceptional miniature with a sharp, radial cluster of elongated PRIMARY CRYSTALS of malachite, perched atop dolomite druse on cuprite-rich ore. The crystals are all terminated on the front display face, and sides. The radial aggregate is flatter on the back, but complete save for a small central contact spot. The ball is 2 cm tall and radiates with a glitter and luster that is more apparent in person. Primary malachite means exactly that - it grew on its own, as opposed to replacing an original large azurite crystal. Crystals of this size are very uncommon and treasured. This also happens to be a very elegant display miniature, too! A very FINE specimen of a common species, in uncommonly good form! images/cards.gif images/bottom.gif
