Tourmalines have come out only in a trickle over the years from this Russian mine. This doubly-terminated crystal shows superb gemminess, a fine termination, and excellent luster. What is more, the coloration is exquisite, blending cranberry and golden tones. It has internal scintillations characteristic of many of the lighter-colored examples of Malkhan tourmaline, sort of like the ones inside imperial topaz. Weighs 26 grams. Ex. Jaime Bird Collection.
