A sparkling, colorless, octahedral diamond, 4 mm in length, is beautifully emplaced on its dark gray kimberlite matrix. This is the real deal, sold by a Russian exporters KARP in the 1990s at the Tucson show. Specimens of this material are hard to find today, and certainly do not come out anymore. The diamond is octahedral, with subtle surface features that add reflections. It is extremely bright. Some of these can be dull, but this is brilliantly adamantine in luster.
