From the Murray Mine, NOT the Meikle Mine, in Elko County, comes a completely different form of Baryte, with its own particular beauty. These are rhombs (very nearly cubes) of Baryte that are covered with a sugary coating of sparkly, microcrystalline quartz, a pale dove-grey - really beautiful! The largest crystal here is a 3 cm across. Specimen is sawn flat on the bottom to remove it from the pocket. 9.5 x 8.2 x 4.5 cm
