A very fine specimen of Vesuvianite from the classic locality at San Vito. The crystals, which measure up to 8 mm long, have glassy luster with perfectly formed faces and a distinct "root beer" color. There are some associated micro white crystals of what could possibly be Meionite, Sanidine, Nepheline or Davyne. These Alpine Vesuvianites are not often seen on the market anymore. A great association specimen of this hard-to-find historic material. From the famous Alpine mineral suite of Richard Kosnar.
