This incredibly unusual specimen features a 1.7-cm blue sapphire crystal perched atop an inverted, twinned sapphire crystal! Or, if you display it another way, a twinned crystal with a crossing normal sapphire at its base (probably the best viewing angle in person as the narrow end of the twin has a missing point though it is hidden from view by tthe crossing sapphire crystal). Either way, its neat and weird at the same time. A gemmy, bright sapphire with excellent form, interesting and highly attractive striations, and pale but distinct blue color! DOUBLY-TERMINATED FLOATER and quite nice for the price, I thought!
