A doubly-terminated, lustrous and translucent ruby, exhibiting the coveted Mogok pigeon's blood color , emplaced on a calcite or marble matrix and appears to show parallel growth. The mass is 34 grams. From the Burma collection of "Burma Bill" Larson, who has for decades brought out gems and then minerals as this region opened up to the trade in specimens.
