This is a Japanese-origin Japan law twin from what is actually, so far as I could find, the original "Japan-Law" Quartz Locality from which these were described. This piece is old, hard to say how far back it dates, but it could be over a century. At 3 cm across, this is a fullsized and perfect thumbnail specimen of this important style, from the best location. Ex Gene Reynolds Collection, previously.
