A historic, old-time acanthite specimen from Joachimstal, Erzgebirge, Czech Republic. A solid, 3-dimensional, algae-like matte of greenish-gray acanthite coats matrix. Most of the acanthite is massive, but some areas have subhedral crystals. A few areas have sharply euhedral crystals, which define the species. Classic, very RICH, old-time silver ore from a historic locality. Ex. George Elling Collection.
