Milarite is a rare hydrated, potassium, calcium, aluminum, beryllium silicate that is found in granitic pegmatites. This cluster of crystals has a soft, yellow color and good luster, with terminations that are sharp and gemmy. At 2.4 cm, these Milarites are a very respectable size for the species, no matter what the location. Certainly, it is significant for Brazil, with the best-known Milarites coming from both Brazil and the Alps. #10,305 from Kay's collection, this was purchased from well-known Brazilian dealer Carlos Barbosa in 1984. Superb, from a one-time find, famous now for this species.
