A SHARP miniature, complete and perfect on both sides, showing machinelike patterning and symmetries. The specimen is actually a floater, complete all around, and is a very elegant example of this old classic find. Most such specimens date to the mid-1800s when the mines here were in their heyday, and many people still to this day consider them the gold standard for the species (or, rather, these and also some few equally old Cornish pieces).
