A large plate of stunningly pretty fluorite crystals, from the Elmwood Mine. These crystals are unusual zoned crystals with a dark purple rind around a lighter core. For reference, the big crystal measures 2.5 cm along the edge. The crystals are nicely contrasted against an earlier generation of very small, very light-colored fluorites, and this layer peeks through in places to set off the larger, dark purple crystals really nicely. You can see a bit of sphalerite at the bottom of the specimen. Ex. Consie Prince Collection.
