Lustrous, pearlescent diopside crystals richly and aesthetically cover the matrix plate and are beautifully accented with a scattering of gemmy, green vesuvianite crystals on this fine and classic specimen from the Mt. Belvidere Quarries of Vermont. The diopside crystals reach nearly 1 cm and the gemmy vesuvianites 2 mm. Ex. Bob Whitmore Collection.
