Two large and very translucent crystals highlight a sparkly pedestal of matrix on this specimen for an extraordinary impactful display. The largest crystal is just under 4 cm. The "more purple" crystal is 2.5 cm. However, in person, they are really the same color in person in your hand - with the stronger photography lights the larger crystal looks more pale in the photos only because light passes through it more easily, as it is contacted on back and so not as deep as you would think from the front display. Thus, while most crystals this size are not so gemmy from the finds, these crystals (both are contacted in back and hence shallow in depth), transmit light more readily and "glow" better. Although not complete 360 degrees, the piece displays incredibly and is actually one of the more impressive items in the update here. As I said, more often than not, the crystals of this size are too dark and look black until you shine a flashlight into them, whereas this will look purple quite nicely in a normal display case.
