An OLD-TIME, dramatic and showy combination specimen from the famous and now-closed Tsumeb Mine. Lustrous and sharp, midnight-blue azurite crystals to 7 mm RICHLY line an elongate vug in gossan matrix, which is beautifully lined with sparkly, drusy, apple-green arsentsumebite microcrystals. Tsumeb is the Type Locality for this ULTRA-RARE lead copper arsenate, which is RARE, even at Tsumeb. This is a RICH specimen of arsentsumebite. Definitely old, from the upper oxidized levels of this very historic mine. Ex Rob Smith Collection.
