An aesthetic example of this classic combination from the Spruce Ridge pyrite and quartz deposit located near the crest of the Cascade Range in Washington and first explored in the 1950s by Bear Creek Mining. The quartz points, with a slight orange tint from hematite inclusions, decorate the sides of a fine, golden-metallic floater crystal of pyrite. Ex.
