This is a very old Broken Hill specimen from the earliest mining era, when they hit a vein of silver ore. Rob Sielecki told me it was the finest large silver mass, essentially a nugget, that he had seen for sale from the mine. This is a massive silver specimen that has been sawn on one side, exhibiting its solid silver nature. The mass of this specimen is 1 kilogram or slightly over 2 pounds! The exterior has a slight association of minium. Although perhaps considered ugly by some, this is a VERY important locality specimen!
