Elbaite Tourmaline with gem Lepidolite

This specimen has, in person, a deeply saturated color that is BEYOND THE NORM, for the mine, with more saturated red tones to the typical pink hue, than is normally the case. It is NOT just another average Himalaya pink tourmaline, but stands out in the crowd in a way I can only describe with the word "juicy," to try to convey it. It is a lovely, bi-colored elbaite crystal is lustrous and gemmy with a pastel yellow green in the bottom 1/3 and a rich pink throughout the rest of the crystal. A few albite blades are attached as well as some lepidolite crystals. At the termination of the elbaite there is minor damage. The mass is 129 grams. ex David Daniel Collection, and probably from the late 1980s or early 1990s finds here.
