Tourmaline
This spectacular multicolored tourmaline looks as if it came from Paprok in Afghanistan but it DID come out of the CG in March of this year, when Chris helped collect it from what was their best pocket to date for well-terminated crystals. It remains one of the finest known crystals of any size from the CG, especially as it is unrepaired (though it has minor damage to the back of the crystal just south of the termination. The deep green, translucent, well-formed prismatic "cap" is unique in San Diego for thickness and richness.
