SUPERB, Molybdenite 'rose' composed of mirror-like, silver-metallic, hexagonal plates. 2.1 cm across, this cluster is perfectly set on Quartz matrix. A classic style, but rare in such quality, this is a small miniature sized specimen with impact. This is from the well-known Wolfram Camp deposit, which was first worked in 1894, and thereafter intermittently until 1982. This incredibly aesthetic specimen well-represents this world-classic Molybdenite locality. It is a little too big to be a thumbnail, for technical collectors who are strict about sizes, and so it is a "boxbuster" thumbnail or a small miniature as we would call it. Specimens from here rank with those from the famed Kingsgate mines of New South Wales, Australia and from Moly Hill in Quebec, Canada.
