A subtly complex cluster from the famous Minerva #1 Mine is southern Illinois. This super attractive piece has what I consider to be the big three characteristics of Illinois Fluorites: good color zoning, good gemminess, and glassy luster. Getting all three together is less common than you realize. On top of that, there are live hydrocarbons within the crystals, creating an incredible fluorescence. The largest crystal is 2.2 cm on edge. Mined in 1991, this is an excellent, very aesthetic miniature. RCL1581
