Perched high on an alternating layered matrix of biotite mica, quartz, and biotite again, is a doubly terminated, equant, glassy and gemmy, wine red crystal of zircon measuring 1.0 cm across. Superb display and a sharp crystal so sharp it looks cut and polished.
