An OLD-TIME, AESTHETIC and CLASSIC Norway specimen of a 3.5 cm, tan, extremely sharp, multi-faced crystal beautifully attached to matrix from Snarum. The crystal is complete all-around and is nearly pristine, excepting the bit of contacting at the bottom of the crystal. This is a SUPERB representation of this uncommon apatite species from a famous old locality. Easily over 100 years old. Accompanied by 4 labels, including an OLD, 11.0 x 7.4 cm Swedish card (on which it is erroneously named "chlorapatite") and a Hugh Ford label, a prominent New York City dealer from the 1920s to early 1950s. Ex. Carl Davis Collection.
