A wonderful, sharp, lustrous, dark green Epidote crystal from Tulare Co., California. This prismatic crystal has a fine, complex termination that is smooth and lustrous, partially etched, and partially contacted. It is fascinating that the crystal had cracked at one point late in its growth, then healed naturally. The Epidote is in very good condition, and the luster and form make this an exceptional single for the area. These came out from road cuts in Tulare, during construction projects. I am not aware of a mine name or specific location. Purchased from well-known California dealer/collector Doug Parsons (traded one to another as items from their personal collections)
