A crown of royal blue Azurite crystals accents a velvety green Malachite knot in this cute miniature from Milpillas, Mexico. The Azurite crystals display the much sought after electric blue internal reflections from this locality and also very lustrous with fine striations on many of the crystal faces but not encumbered by the roughness seen on so many inferior Azurites from here. Size of the Azurite crystals range from 1.2 to 2.9 cm. The contrasting Malachite is composed of numerous spherical aggregates with a divergent, radial fibrous internal structure. A very sharp display piece from Milpillas.
