A showy and excellent Australian specimen of isolated, lustrous azurite crystals and a cluster of azurite crystals nicely set on a very 3-dimensional, vuggy, gossan matrix with complimentary, lustrous, bladed malachite. This fine piece is from the less well-known Girilambone Copper Mine, New South Wales. The mine was discovered in 1875 and this is undoubtedly an old piece from the oxidized zone.
