Turquoise Var. Rashleighite (Ex. Dr. Victor Goldschmidt)
Rashleighite is the iron-rich variety of Turquoise, and was originally reported from the Cornwall area. The Rashleighite blades form discreet spherical aggregates that are .3 cm across on average, with good luster. The color ranges from green to blue-green, and there are two distinct pockets of the Rashleighite, the largest of which is 2.5 cm across. For what it is, this is an excellent Rashleighite specimen, and attractive. Ex. personal collections of the famous Dr. Victor Goldschmidt and Herb Obodda. Herb found some of the long lost collection of Goldschmidt, with labels, turn up in Europe a few decades ago. This is one of those rare specimens.
