Leucite, Analcime
This "soccer ball" pseudo-trapezohedral crystal in matrix is a crystal of analcime (Hydrated Sodium Aluminum Silicate) that has been completely pseudomorphed by leucite (Potassium Aluminum Silicate), with the potassium replacing the sodium. It looks much sharper in person - like a crystal model or a geodesic dome. Old classic specimen from the Elling Collection.
