Quartz on Chryscocolla
This is a stunning "geode"-like pocket of chrysocolla, completely preserved under a thin layer of sparkly, transparent quartz that has coated the inside of the pocket and preserved the soft material under a coating of hardness. The shine and color to the piece just make it stand out. The outside of this natural pocket has been polished slightly to smooth it down. All in all, a fine miniature, with a color and sparkle that add pizzazz to any shelf of old USA or Arizona classics.
