This is a surprisingly aesthetic pyrrhotite combination specimen from new finds at the Weilasituo mine in China in 2019, these are, for quality, some of the best of species now known. This specimen consists of an aesthetic arrangement of pyrrhotite, chalcopyrite and fluorite to produce an attractive combination specimen. Particularly bright metallic bronze, well-formed hexagonal plates of pyrrhotite to nearly an inch across are nicely clustered right of center on the piece among accenting smaller crystals. We can't emphasize enough how brilliant, well-formed and isolated these crystals are and how aesthetic the group is. Medium to dark purple translucent to opaque purple fluorites from a few millimeters to 1.0 cm dominate the left side of the specimen -- a rare association. Although complex, they seem to be a combination of the octahedron and cube forms (cuboctahedron). A rare piece form a small group of pockets, and quite unique.
