This impressive specimen features a 5-cm-tall, 2.7 cm wide (at widest), 1-cm-thick twinned titanite perched upright on a contrasting matrix of crystallized orthoclase. The quality and balance of this specimen, especially for this locality, is superb. In person, it has a nicer pea-green color, with some yellow overtones, than the photo conveys. Ex. Ed David Collection (Ed was a director of the White House Office of Science and Technology and a former science advisor to President Nixon) .
