An aesthetic and superb, upright specimen of an elongate vug lined with lustrous, jet-black, tetragonal hausmannite crystals to 9 mm and nicely framed by contrasting, light brick-red matrix coated with tiny andradite garnets. The Kalahari Manganese Field of South Africa is the source of the world's best hausmannite crystals. Ex. Berthold Ottens Collection.
