A large, glowing pink cluster of two inter-grown fluorite crystals which are symmetrical and impressive! Of course, crystals of this size, color, and translucency, are very, very rare from this old French locality near the famous ski resorts of Chamonix. The crystals are complete in front. There are some contacts to the side and back which have been somewhat moderated, it appears, by laboratory "smoothing" of the faces to the left and rear (i.e., a very light polishing, to be indelicate). If it were complete all around without those rough edges worked on, it would be valued 5x, in any case. Found in 1991, according to former owner, Dr Vasco Trancoso of Lisbon. This specimen has a lot of color impact for the size and what it is.
