This elegantly curved silver specimen is highlighted by several diverging wires, to 2.2 cm in length. The wires are colored a dark black by age and a slight acanthite coating (although it can be brightened with silver cleaner, that would make it look modern and strange!); and exhibit remnants of their enclosing calcite veins in little bits of calcite still attached. A gorgeous miniature, from the Howard Belsky collection.
