This specimen consists of two intergrown stalactites of rhodochrosite, the end of one and the center section of another (obviously there is no way to remove them complete when they are growing like this). At the broken-off ends you can see the concentric circles from the gradual deposition of the rhodochrosite over thousands of years that formed these. What is particularly interesting is that you can see in the center of the larger one that it began as two little stalactites side-by-side, which were covered by a pinker rhodo in a later generation joining them into a single one. 5.6 x 5.2 x 4.1 cm
