Sparkling, bright, rich red, very sharp, trigonal crystals of gemmy Proustite sit atop pale pink, sparkling, contrasting Rhodochrosite matrix. This mine is well known for its Native Silver and Silver sulfide specimens, but rarely are the Proustites from Uchucchacua found on Rhodochrosite matrix. A wonderful association specimen from this renowned and prolific Peruvian silver locality. Ex. Brian Kosnar Collection.
