A stunning gem calcite, with literally the clarity of glass, from 2020-21 finds in Zhejiang Province, near to Shanghai. Although many were found, most were simply not the top clarity or had damage issues. This is a choice miniature, with a balance to the clear zone and the inclusions within that give it character. The sidecar crystal at the base really elevates the piece, compared to most others which were only singles, as it adds the extra visual appeal. In person, this is as close to a natural jewel as you can get for calcite; it has a brightness hard to convey on video.
