This one surprised me! But, Ed David's collection was known for its great diversity and high representation of East Coast specimens. This is no exception - It is a surreal swirling cluster of intergrown prehnite crystals that looks like Kermit the Frog meets Munch's "Scream" figure. It just stands out in person. As with so many other old classics, I love the rarity of such a piece for a given locality BUT I most like to see aesthetics and presentation as well - and this combines both qualities. Ex Ed David collection. I would argue that this is a really interesting prehnite, and one of the few US prehnites not from New Jersey's trap-rock quarries that might actually be worth anything substantial on its own merits. comes with custom base. Ex. Dr. Edward E. David Collection
