What a gorgeous and aesthetic, radial hemisphere of Adamite from the famous Ojuela mine that has produced the best-of-species for this mineral! This particular pocket of satiny apple-greens is distinct and came out in the 1970s and this is an exceptional miniature from those finds. A nearly complete, single, bright, lustrous, translucent yellow-green, 3.2 cm, swaggering whorl of Adamite dominates this exquisite piece and displays prominently on the two-toned orange-brown and brown limonite matrix. It has the superb luster and yellow-green color that one would want from Ojuela, and it simply sparkles in every direction around the aesthetic whorl with top quality luster (the best you can ask for). The ocherous limonite matrix makes for great contrast. It is complete all around and only has a small, linear smattering of limonite on the front. There is a small, partial Adamite whorl on the right rear of the main one. It sits well on its own for display and has a brilliant neon green fluorescence! As for provenance, we obtained this after finding the "lost" collection of Minerals of Mexico book author, Bill Panczner, which had disappeared since the late 1980s. This was his personal specimen of this famous discovery.
