An EXCEPTIONAL and very RARE in this quality cluster of mirror-bright, brass-yellow pyritohedrons with needle quartz from the famous Bingham Canyon open pit copper mine of Utah. Well-developed crystals of ANY SPECIES are UNCOMMON from Bingham Canyon and this is a great one. This piece comes with two old labels - one of which, is the Schortmanns label stating on the back that this piece was from their sale in New York City in 1952! Not cheap in 1952 at $4! Ex Richard Hauck Collection. 5.4 x 3.7 x 3.4 cm
