This is without a doubt a competition quality miniature. It is a huge azurite crystal for the locality, very 3-dimensional, showing partial alteration to chatoyant, beautiful, bright green malachite. This combination has given this specimen a contrast which enhances the vivid electric colors. The largest crystal measures 3.5 cm across. Formerly in the Gene Meieran collection. A truly fine and colorful specimen but a significant locality piece and a significant miniature, as well, for any US collector
