A cherry-red, gemmy, bright, and sparkling cluster of the best-colored rhodochrosites from the most classic of all rhodochrosite finds, circa 1980. While there are other styles, these cherry-red jewels are still the first choice to most of us, for sheer color and impact. The largest crystal in the center is approximately 1.5 cm. The others are nicely balanced around it, making for a more robust display than the usual style of a few singles. There is, please note, some minor tip damage to several crystals - as is typical, noted, and accepted for this particular discovery. It seems like a combination of nature and man, but nearly all specimens of any size, have some tip issues from the time they were found, now over 40 years ago. It is what it is...we still love them. And this one, as a cluster of full TN size, displays magnificently.
