Superb, large, cluster of translucent to transparent, medium to dark blue-green fluorite octahedrons from Chifeng, China. The fluorite cluster is composed of sharp, translucent to transparent, octahedrons up to 5.6 cm on edge and they are in excellent condition. Crystal faces are lustrous and the individual crystals are zoned from a dark green translucent to opaque interior with a thick, outer rim of transparent to translucent medium green. These fluorites were from a one-time find in 2016 and nothing like them have been found since. An attractive piece that comes with a custom engraved acrylic base. For this find, this has proven to be one of the best pieces in the size range, with a nice aesthetic balance.
