Despite some minor bruises, this is a large and spectacular specimen of azurite! It is a complete ball of sheaf-like crystals, with flashing faces and terrific deep blue (not blackish) color. The crystals are arranged in beautiful stacked, radiating patterns. Azurites of this magnitude are rare from anywhere, so do not let the quantity of azurites from China dull your appreciation of a specimen such as this, no matter where it is from!
