These Ethiopian amazonites have given the Colorado classics a real run for their money, and you can amply see why in this beautiful specimen. It has the most saturated, intense turquoise color you could ask for - and it is carefully trimmed out to have a base of white orthoclase matrix remaining to set the crystal off nicely. You cannot see it from the photos, but the crystal actually has a good luster to it as well when the light catches its reflective faces.
