A beautiful, gemmy, polychrome tourmaline from the Cruzeiro Mine of Brazil. The lower portion is a beautiful rose-red, an uncommon color for Brazilian tourmalines and grades upward to green, to teal-blue, to dark green. The lower portion of the crystal is a total gem nodule. The pyramidal termination is frosted. Cruzeiro tourmalines of this color and quality came out in the 1960s and 1970s. Ex. Steve Smale Collection. Weighs 9 grams.
