This is an extremely large, intensely gemmy and unbelievably impressive crystal of a mineral that rivals just about any in the world for dazzling red color! You typically see these scattered on matrix, of a much smaller size, and not a large, single, prismatic crystal such as this. It has just a couple of very small dings - nothing that matters visibly, in context, for such a large and freestanding crystal. Weighs 48 grams. NOTE: these are very light-sensitive, so you must keep them out of the light! If they stay in your case, they WILL ultimately turn brown!
