Typically the Magnetite specimens from this locality are closely grown together, and this is a fine example of the material. The piece has fine, good size, sharp, highly lustrous, black, metallic, "Alpine-type" octahedra (some are twinned) associated with buff colored Feldspar on matrix. The largest Magnetite crystal measures 11 mm. on edge, which is good size for the locality.
