Water-clear Fluorites from Dalnegorsk, particularly those from the Nikolaevskiy Mine, have always been held in high regard among all collectors, and for good reason. They were called Icecube Fluorites in the 1990s when they came out - and even then, we suspected most were found in the late 1980s and held back, then released when the Wall fell. Climbing up the matrix, these cubic Fluorites display beautifully, with their luster, form, and faint green color easily seen and appreciated. The largest crystal reaches about 1.6 cm on edge, and they fluoresce a ghostly purple that well-suites their clarity. This large miniature is highly aesthetic, with great visual balance and appeal. Forgiving the pun, it is clear to see why Dalnegorsk Fluorites have such an aura associated with them. These are classics. They were already classics by the time they came to market in the West, but we did not realize it at the time.
